BabyTree Surrogacy

For Intended Parents

Become a Parent via Surrogacy

A Full-Service Surrogacy Agency

BabyTree — A Full-Service Surrogacy Agency for Intended Parents

Whatever your needs are, BabyTree Surrogacy offers trusted services to bring you together with a healthy surrogate carrier so you can fulfill your dream of building a family. Surrogacy is one of the alternatives to adoption and allows you to raise a child that is biologically yours without undergoing pregnancy.

If you are comparing California surrogacy agencies, BabyTree provides personalized matching and full-service support — from your first question to postpartum recovery, with a single dedicated coordinator team rather than a queue of separate vendors.

How Surrogacy Works with BabyTree

Five phases, on average 18–24 months from initial consultation to delivery. A dedicated coordinator stays with you the whole way.

  1. 1

    Phase 1

    Apply & screen

Complete the Intended Parents profile. We review your situation and confirm you can provide a safe, stable home — typically within a few business days.

  2. 2

    Phase 2

    Match

We present you to compatible surrogates. You always have the final say. Matching is two-way: you choose, she chooses, and we only move forward when both sides feel right.

  3. 3

    Phase 3

    Contracts & legal

Both sides have independent attorneys (paid through your program). Contracts cover compensation, expectations, and California parentage protections before IVF begins.

  4. 4

    Phase 4

    IVF & transfer

We work with your preferred IVF clinic or refer one nearby. Your embryo is transferred via gestational surrogacy. You stay updated through every monitoring milestone.

  5. 5

    Phase 5

    Pregnancy & delivery

Throughout pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum window, you have a dedicated coordinator, regular updates from the medical team, and 24/7 access to BabyTree.

Why Intended Parents Choose BabyTree

Beyond the surrogacy journey itself, these are the structural reasons intended parents choose BabyTree over other California agencies:

  • Full-service from day one

Intake, matching, IVF coordination, attorneys, escrow, insurance — handled by one BabyTree team rather than five vendors.

  • You always have the final say

Matching is two-way. We present compatible candidates; you select the surrogate who feels right for your family.

  • Legal paperwork covered

Surrogacy contracts and California pre-birth or parentage orders are handled by our attorney network — your name on the birth certificate, no surprises.

  • Donor egg path if you need it

If your journey requires donor eggs, BabyTree's egg donor program is under the same roof — no separate agency, no separate handoff.

  • International intended parents welcome

We support IP traveling from outside the U.S., including travel coordination, time-zone-aware updates, and citizenship-side legal counsel referrals.

Matching

Matching You with the Right Surrogate

At BabyTree, we understand that you want to be involved with every step of your baby's journey — from conception to delivery. Our matching protocols carefully screen potential surrogate carriers and pair them with parents who share the same vision. You always have the final say.

We connect you with a surrogate who matches your medical, personal, and emotional preferences. For families across California's Central Valley including Modesto, Stockton, and Fresno, we also provide local support and in-person meetings.

IVF & Transfer

Support through IVF and Embryo Transfer

We can work with your preferred IVF clinic or refer you to a trusted medical practice nearby to begin the IVF process. Your embryo is transferred into the surrogate carrier through a procedure called gestational surrogacy.

Using surrogacy to become a parent gives you control of the entire process: you can choose between single or multiple embryo transfer, and we keep you updated on the fetus's development and the surrogate's health throughout pregnancy.

Egg Donation

Donor Eggs When You Need Them

If your journey requires donor eggs, we can match you with a BabyTree-screened egg donor. This allows you to have a child biologically connected to your family while keeping every step under one trusted agency.

You can select an egg donor by medical history, ethnic background, age, and physical characteristics — and because BabyTree's egg donor and surrogacy programs share the same coordinator team, you don't manage two separate agencies.

Legal Protection

We Handle the Legal Paperwork

When you work with BabyTree, the legal aspects of surrogacy are handled entirely by us. We understand California surrogacy law and provide contracts that protect you, your child, and the surrogate now and in the future. Both intended parents and surrogates are fully briefed so responsibilities are clear and fair.

Why intended parents trust BabyTree

Three structural commitments that separate BabyTree from agencies that hand you off between vendors.

  • Two-way matching

Both sides choose — no forced match

BabyTree only moves forward when the intended parents and surrogate both feel confident. If something is not right, we re-match with no agency fee.

  • Coordinator continuity

    One team, start to finish

The coordinator who takes your first call stays with you through matching, contracts, IVF, delivery, and postpartum — not a handoff queue.

  • IVF + legal under one roof

    Fewer vendors, fewer dropped balls

IVF clinic, surrogate-side attorney, your attorney, and insurance broker coordinated by BabyTree on one timeline — fewer invoices, fewer scheduling conflicts.

Become a Parent via Surrogacy — FAQ

The most common questions intended parents ask before starting a California surrogacy journey with BabyTree.

How do I know if surrogacy is right for our family?
A free consultation walks through your medical situation, expectations, timeline, and budget. There is no obligation. Many intended parents come away with a clearer sense of whether surrogacy, donor eggs, or a different path fits best.
Can we use our own embryos, or do we need a donor?
You can use embryos you have already created at a fertility clinic, create embryos with your gametes during the surrogacy journey, or — if needed — work with a BabyTree-matched egg donor. Your fertility clinic helps determine which path is medically right.
Do we have to live in California?
No. BabyTree primarily works with California surrogates because of California's well-established gestational surrogacy law, but intended parents come to us from across the United States and internationally. We coordinate travel, time-zone updates, and any local legal counsel you need.
How long until we meet our baby?
Plan for roughly 18–24 months from initial consultation to delivery. Matching typically takes 2–6 months after you sign, the medical/legal phase another 2–3 months, embryo transfer cycle ~2 months, plus the 9-month pregnancy itself.
What if our first surrogacy attempt is not successful?
A single embryo transfer is successful around 50–65% of the time, so retries do happen. Your contract with the surrogate covers a defined number of transfer attempts, and BabyTree coordinates timing for the next cycle without an additional matching fee.
How is the surrogate compensated, and who pays?
The surrogate is paid through an independent escrow account on a schedule in her contract — funded by you, not paid directly. See our /costs/ page for a full itemized breakdown, including base fee, monthly allowances, milestone payments, and what intended parents typically budget.
